Afterword

How this book came to be over time

An afterword generally covers the story of how the book came into being, or of how the idea for the book was developed.

In part, the moderately excessively long-lasting journeying that brought this book into being, is as all-important as is its content. This must be weasel-worded by reference point to the actual start of the process of writing. Now, this point, might strongly be argued to have come about at the very dawning of time itself. 1

In Short

The above is important because it is a wavy line. The universe is full of both undulation and oscillation.

Gravitational waves are waves in space-time that are caused by some of the most violent and energetic processes in the Universe. Albert Einstein predicted the existence of gravitational waves in his general theory of relativity, published in 1916. Einstein’s mathematics showed that massive objects moving at speeds approaching the speed of light would disrupt space-time in such a way that ‘waves’ of undulating space-time would propagate in all directions away from the source. These cosmic ripples would travel at the speed of light, carrying information about their origins with them. Furthermore, they would provide clues to the nature of gravity.

The most powerful gravitational waves come from events like black holes colliding, supernovae exploding, and neutron stars colliding. Other waves are predicted to be caused by the rotation of neutron stars that are not perfect spheres, and possibly even the remnants of the Big bang.

Non-fictional motivation

This is not a fictional book. Instead, it is a book that, I hope, will at least impart the rudiments of Psilocybin. If you find yourself absolutely lost, confounded, disorientated and disillusioned within the desert of conflicting ideas, relating (to) this subject, you are not alone. Be fearless! If you go into psychosis, return to this book as quickly as possible. Being stranded out in the desert on a horse with no name is a cliché & it is an earworm, a song that will stay in your mind forever. Take refuge in this book.

Purpose

As stated elsewhere the purpose of this book is to briefly engage the reader in such a manner so as to alleviate the awful psychic pressures that otherwise might do great harm to the individual concerned. The warning here, is that unlike many other books, this book assumes that:

  1. The reader will never have time to finish the book. 2
  2. The reader will be mentally elsewhere, most likely waiting for a series of mind-grilling interviews3, an awful medical examination.
  3. Or perhaps simply waiting for the worst possible corporate mind-washing-presentation ever. 4
  4. For the above reasons, the text of this book (elsewhere, deep within the core content) is necessarily non-terse and the pictures are both visually stunning and massive.
  5. I hope that by at least flipping 5 through the pages of this book, the reader may increase their lifespan. lessen the torture that is the current environment and at least reduce the actual caffeine content in the bloodstream.
  6. This is done by saying “No, thanks”, when offered a third cup of coffee, after having seen many other candidates for the job interview, walk out with a shining smile seemingly surgically implanted into their faces. 6
  7. The reader who is on a bus, train or other transport mechanism, may also arrive safely at his/ her/ its/ destination; this would, at least in part, be due to the calming nature of this book.

The journey of writing this book

When I started writing this book, I freely admit that I had no idea what I was writing; even to the extent that there was no idea of a title nor what content would result from my effort. Yet, after some time, the fluidity of writing exponentially grew until the words were falling onto the screen in a torrent.

What I Learned From This Journey

I learned that this Afterword, would come to be the single most verbose and utterly useless part of this book. By comparison, the brief yet pertinent comments authored and published on the actual subject, within the actual content on the subject of Psilocybin are but a drop in the ocean of Spacetime.

Problems during writing

As with all my endeavors, finishing this book and getting it published in a well bound, 7 high-quality hardback finish was only one of the stumbling blocks.8 I am known for starting many projects and not finishing almost any of them. This is a curse, a hex, a piece of unfair fabric of this universe!

Please note that at the time of writing, any hardback of paperback version of this book is but a piece of legal fiction.

How writing this book changed me

In a way9, as the author, I can frankly say that writing this book, really changed me. It provided me with firmness of purpose and feedback. We all need success of one sort or another. We seek this, to see ourselves in what we have done.

Without this feedback of cognitive content, it is as though one may never have seen oneself. Imagine, if you will, a time and place where a mirror is not ever available. Under these circumstances you will never see your face. How would you recognize yourself? Indeed, this is highly problematic and is only the tip of the iceberg.

This reflection of ourselves belongs within the field of introspective psychology, among other esoteric fringe-psychology and otherworldly existential realities.

How long?

Writing this book took an inordinate amount of time. Literally, this means that there are no ordinal numbers with which to describe time. However, I did resonate with the core tor! 10

How to read this book

Any suggestions about how to read this book are unnecessary, since you will almost certainly never finish it and may even open it halfway through. If there is a special way to do this, the quantum mechanics relating to the formula needed to express this is beyond the scope of this preface.

NOTE: The days of quality free higher education vanished decades ago. (YankSide never genuinely had the privilege of quality University education) Presently, it is honestly11 more cost-effective, not to take any course at a quality university. Rather, if you want to learn, only make use of the libraries and gatecrash lectures at these establishments.

On most days of the week, you will find that enrolled students do not inconvenience themselves by actually attending either the libraries or lectures as they are far to busy recovering from the party the night before. So, you may find the lecturer only too proud to accept you, even if you are exceedingly unclear about your enrollment status etc.

The manifest clear-cut benefit of non-enrolment these days, is that the whole student loan syndrome has become intimately tied to the need to lend which itself is an inerrable failure of the Bretton-Woods-Agreement. This results in a state where the fully-fledged student arrives out of the machine-like processing & industrial plant of the modern University with a debt that weighs as much as a house.

As an alternative, if you are the guardian of the prospective degree winner, and have real estate in your name, get remortgaged up to the sky or beyond, and then factor-in the indenture and life-long wage-slavery that this entails.

Footnotes

1

QUOTE “Time is an illusion; lunchtime doubly so” — Douglas Adams. In reality, in the case of this book, it took me approximately 10 seconds for the fluidity of the writing process to flourish into full bloom.

12

The Psilocybin Scriptures are found upon Hans Summers website. These are a semi-exhaustive compilation of all acquirable scripture on the subject. The Bless-ed Scriptures are found here.

2

Never, is a very very very long time, such that especially in the context of an assumption about some person never having time to read the whole book, one has to generally diss this idea.

5

In this context ‘flipping the pages’ may have to be interpreted as clicking a mouse or pressing & swiping at a tablet device. This is because there is a high probability you may be reading the online version of The Improbability of Psilocybin Book.

6

Caffeine, is addictive, it provokes the release of adrenaline which may or may not help you. In a situation where you are faced by a lion who is looking for dinner, adrenaline may help. However, in the urban setting of a tall corporate smoked-glass-fronted tower-block, faced with an interview, large quotas of adrenaline will probably not help you at all.

7

The glamorous hardback bound version of this book is, at least for now, virtual, insofar as yet, it does not physically exist. Do not let this stop you from enjoying the feeling of a well bound hardback book experience. Indeed, if you are reading this book using a tablet, just sink into the sofa, chair, or other available seating and countenance your mind to resonate 10 with the idea of hardback books. If you can do this, you are already more than halfway there.

If you do get the job, please try to remember this book afterwards. Buy a copy for your house, your (WC) or just buy a copy for no reason. You may also donate money through PayPal using all major credit cards. I thank you in advance for your cooperation.

“In a way” is a really feeble cliché that is often used in social circumstances to say something yet appear non-bound to the consequence of what has been said. In a way, this is done to reduce the jeopardy that the person or group of persons listening, may not agree with the offering. Indeed, in a way, a person who routinely says, “in a way” in front of everything, is hedging their bets. In a way, this is true since, were they to be more bold and hence omit the “in a way” prefix, a potential higher probability of actual personal interaction might result. In a way, this itself may create social unrest or modest cognitive dissonance within the mindset of the listeners or reader.

Although there are numerous references to both hardback and paperback versions of this book, those words appear in the anticipation that this book will manifest itself into these additional varieties. Whereas, to date only the online internet edition is abundant and readily reachable. Notwithstanding-the-aforementioned, elbow grease will be used to bring thee said hardback and paperback quality books into the marketplace as soon as the opportunity presents itself. (As mentioned elsewhere, the hardback and paperback versions must, for the current time and until further notice remain virtual and without physical form, from time to time)

Note that when anyone says, “I can honestly say” or “to be perfectly honest”, these people are liars. Indeed, after this point watch to see if at some point they do touch their nose whilst saying something incredulous or otherwise doubtful. It has nothing whatsoever to do with electronics, radio or indeed Psilocybin.
