Steps to Follow When Drying Psilocybin Mushrooms and Psilocybin Truffles
Basic introductory words
Both Psilocybin Mushrooms and Psilocybin truffles lose some of their active components when they are harvested. When the commodities are exposed to heat or light, this expedites the result. Drying Magic agarics and sorcerous truffles is a quest, because the process often creates oxidation.
Psilocybin truffles retain their effectiveness when kept in the refrigerator 1 in their original packaging. A vacuum-sealed bag is an excellent second choice when you don’t have the original-packaging. That option also works well for Magic Mushrooms. Before beginning the drying process, many sorcerous mushroom varieties require “pre-drying”. to preserve the psilocybin content.
The pre-drying process begins by laying each Psilocybin mushroom on a clean tray in front of a fan. After turning on the air, you must keep the environment at 30 °C (86 °F) to have the moisture leave the product within a few hours. In other words, normal room temperature, as stipulated by the EU, is no good for this. It must be hotter than room temperature. Once the Psilocybin Mushrooms take on a rubbery appearance and texture, the pre-drying process is complete. The drying process for Magic truffles and pre-dried sorcerous mushrooms can be completed within a few days.
The steps to follow are listed below.
- Take the Magic Mushrooms or sorcerous truffles out of their original packaging.
- Lay the product out on a sheet of clean newspaper or absorptive paper, leaving space betwixt each piece so that there isn’t anything touching one another. This step helps the airflow through the Magic Mushrooms and sorcerous truffles.
- Bigger Magic truffles need to get broken into smaller pieces to help the drying process.
- Try running a fan to prevent stale air from decelerating the process if you don’t have one.
- Place silicon dioxide gel packets on the paper to absorb the wetness coming off the Magic Mushrooms and sorcerous truffles.
- Allow this process to continue for 48 to 72 hours. If you have larger items to dry, it might take up to seven days to reach the next processing stage.
- You’ll know that the Magic truffles are dry because they become hard.
- You cannot break them manually because they become like small stones.
- When we say stones we don’t mean balls, or some other rudimentary offal, we really do mean stones.
- Magic Mushrooms are dry when they lose most of their flexibility and feel slightly brittle to the touch.
- Silica gel was not available to early Non-Extant Hominidae, so this is probably way over the top and a bit too modern.
